The paint in the nursery went up this weekend. We had thought we were choosing a nice blue/grey color – but once it got on the walls its definitely lavender! We decided to do the room 2-toned – so the soffit is a deep purple and the walls are lavender. I know we said we didn’t want it to be too girly… let’s just hope the doctors are right about the sex.
Here I am at 32 weeks. Still feeling great – but slowing down a bit. All the stairs in the house are starting to take their toll… “do I really need something from upstairs?” 
We spent Christmas this year down in Virginia. 
Becky got us a book of classic children’s stories – can’t wait to start reading them!
We ventured outside a few times in the snow… but mostly stuck close to the fireplace (Benson stuck particularly close).
Here I am at the end of my 29th week. All dressed up for a holiday party – but alas, about an hour after this picture was taken we were in a car accident and I spent the next 4 hours in the hospital hooked up to a fetal monitor. Fortunately all is well with us and the baby, just a precaution. We heard her moving around and even heard a few minutes of hickups.
The floor is finally in and the closet is done! Next up – picking the wall colors.
Benson has no idea what’s in store…
Here I am at the end of 27 weeks
Dave’s parent’s stopped by on Sunday and put in a few good hours of work helping Dave to put in the bamboo floor. The room is really starting to come together.
The guest room has officially begun the transformation to a nursery. Right now it’s a construction zone, but will hopefully resemble something kid friendly in a few weeks.
Dave is putting in a custom closet (which will hopefully hold both baby and Jess’ overflow clothes).
