After many back and forth talks we finally made the decision to move out of Philly and to the suburbs. It was a really hard decision, as we both LOVE the city, but with the terrible school system and starting to feel a little cramped in our house, we decided that it is the best move for our family, right now. After looking around for a few months we found an amazing house in Bala Cynwyd, just 6 miles from our current home. We close on it next week and will move in some time this winter. Here’s to the start of a new adventure!
First Snow!
We had our first snowfall the other day. It was fast and furious and gone within a few hours, but Dave and Sophie took full advantage building a mini snowman in front of the house.
Sundays
This is what our kitchen looks like on Sunday. We put in a good few hours of cooking and then we’re set for the week.
Weekend in Maryland
This weekend Dave had a regatta down in Rock Hall, MD, so we decided to stay at a bed and breakfast and make a weekend of it. Unfortunately it rained, but that didn’t stop Sophie and me from exploring the area (we both just had several bad hair days). Dave won so everyone had a great weekend!
What you can’t see in this picture are the purple hand that Sophie got from touching the Iris. I had to scrub them for about 5 minutes to get all of the purple off. Good to know for future dyeing projected I guess…
Who’s that baby in the mirror?

Almost 4 weeks!
Tomorrow Sophie will be 4 weeks old!
The last few days she’s been a bit of a crankenstein and had some blood in her diaper, so on Friday we went to the pediatrician and found out that she has milk protein colitis, which means that she can’t tolerate dairy. So… that means that as long as I’m nursing I need to cut dairy out of my diet – and just when I thought I didn’t have to worry about what I ate anymore! Happily we’ve already begun to notice a difference in her moods after she eats. And last night we enjoyed a solid 5 1/2 hours of sleep straight! We’re not counting on that being a habit – at least night right now – but it was definitely enjoyable.
